Chilly December Day....

Nathan is gone to work in Baton Rouge, but hopefully he will be coming home sometime today or tomorrow for a bit! Nathanyel and I haven't done much today, but clean the kitchen and now be lazy. He doesn't seem to think Mommy needs any spare time!

Hopefully we will put up our christmas tree tomorrow night after I get back from class! This semster is just about over we only have finals left next week! and then 4 weeks of freedom before spring semster starts!

Thanksgiving was a very busy time for us! We managed to go to all the family thanksgiving gatherings! I doubt that it will happen that way again for many years if ever! Nathan got to be home the tuesday night before thanksgiving all the way till 3am monday morning! So we enjoyed seeing him!

Today Nathanyel is 11 months old... I still can't seem to find where the time went to! I love his ever growing personality and new little adventures, but how I miss that snuggly little 6lb baby boy i brought home, now almost a year ago! He has been such a joy! I always knew I wanted to be a Mom, and I have to thank him for so far being the greatest baby! Though would I ever think he wasnt the greatest? I don't think that is in a mothers nature.... or at least not most mothers!

I can't wait to watch my baby boy open his first christmas presents! he has already seen 2 christmas trees decorated, since we don't have ours up yet! We are taking him this weekend if DH is home to see the Christmas lights in Natchitoches on the river! Then a few days after Christmas it will be first birthday time! we have just decided to have his party here at home with friends and family and a large pot of gumbo and a monkey theme! I don't get into the brand name birthday parties.... like Mickey Mouse, Elmo, or other things of that nature.... not that there is anything wrong with them, but i'd rather be classic and not focus on a cartoon I guess! That and Buck doesn't watch much TV anyway so!

End of June!

We had a great first Father's Day! We spent most of the day at my Dad's with family... the rest of the time we spent at home watching the race.

Nathan got a new truck (for Father's Day) which we haven't got to pick up yet. It is new to us, but it is a 2005 Chevy 2500. The bank managed to scew a few things up for us and we still haven't got to go back to Mississippi and pick it up! Nathan isn't happy about this at all! He will get over it once he has the truck here!

Our nephews Landon and Levi have spent the last few weeks with us! This week they have been going to Bible school at the church right down the road! They have had so much fun! Today Landon went with our other Nephew Dylan to watch a movie with him and his father! It is good to see all the kids having such a great summer.

Nathan was so nice today that him and Nathanyel have gone to visit Nathan's best buddy for a little while and giving me a break! Levi was supposed to go with him so I could take a nap but that didn't happen! So he is here chatting my head off! Oh well he was sweet for trying!

So as this month comes to an end it has been good! hopefully the rest of the summer will be even better!!
